All of our materials are sourced from fellow small businesses and ethical manufacturers in North America. (Read more about our Signature Materials here). This directly benefits our community and keeps our carbon footprint lower.

Then, all of our products are made in-house in our sunny little studio in the USA – a warm & creative environment where we make your gear with an attention to detail and quality that factory production can't replicate.

All of our packaging is curbside recyclable and contains no plastic. Our fabrics are printed on sustainably sourced natural fabrics with eco-friendly water-based inks and we repurpose most of our scraps (Like our 3-Piece Bows).

In the rare cases that we do chose manufactured materials, it was because they out-performed a natural material and are meant to last a lifetime with our Repair / Recycle program.

With every order placed, we donate the proceeds to small rescue organizations where they'll make the biggest impact.

We've provided hundreds of meals and much-needed supplies for pets in need at organizations like the MD SPCA, Forgotten Cats, BARCS, and more – thanks to your orders!

Folktails is inspired by my love of design – and a frustration with unsustainable manufacturing practices.

'Slow fashion' has grown in human apparel, but less so in the pet industry. Eco materials aren't enough when the manufacturing process exploits people. Our transparent process supports the small business & pet lover communities.
