Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations
At this time, we accept returns within 30 days of purchase for store credit if the unused item is returned in the same condition. Buyer is responsible for return shipping. Please ship your order back to us and include your order number in the package (printing your email receipt is easiest).

While we inspect every order before shipping & strive to provide the best in quality, we recognize that sometimes errors occur. We offer replacements at no extra cost to you for defective or mis-shipped items. Simply notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org within 3 days of receiving the product to ensure we can promptly address your concerns. Returns not following this policy will only be accepted at our discretion.
We are unable to offer exchanges at this time, but do accept returns. If you need another size, simply return your item and purchase the new size or product needed.
We work as quickly as possible for our customers, so orders must be cancelled within one hour of placing.
If an order has been processed, cancellations cannot occur but you may follow our return policy.
While we make every effort to keep sufficient and accurate inventory, we may cancel orders for a refund in the event of the unavailability of an item.
All of our products are made in-house and are handcrafted. We aim to create the highest quality products, but also celebrate the individuality of each piece.

When you purchase on folktailspets.com, we will ask for the information necessary to collect payment, process & ship your order, and to communicate order status.
If you choose to create an account, we will create a profile containing your order history & stored addresses for easy access. All of your order history is stored within our system, so creating an account simply provides you with access to that information.
When you sign up for our email newsletter, we will ask for your email address. You can choose to stop receiving our emails at any time, by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any marketing email.

We also use this information to improve your shopping experience, products and services, as well as collecting data used for delivery of remarketing and promotional offers You can choose to use ‘cookies’ to collect data on pages you view on our site, as well as to power the delivery of re-marketing and promotional offers.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).
Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
